Clay and Creature Art

Hand-sculpted polymer clay figurines inspired by Canadian wildlife

My work as an animal sculptor began with a personal commission. After my daughter’s beloved dog passed away, I created a figurine in his memory for the one-year anniversary of his passing. I left the piece unpainted so she could take part in shaping its final appearance. The experience was the first step to my new adventure.
From there, I began sculpting other animals, drawn especially to wildlife. One of my first pieces was a large North American bear, inspired by the animals that inhabit the Canadian landscape.
I work with polymer clay, sculpting each piece entirely by hand without molds. While this material allows only a single original to exist, that limitation is intentional: every figurine is a true one-of-a-kind artwork. No reproductions are possible, and no two pieces can ever be repeated.
Each sculpture is finished with professional-grade acrylic paints and sealed with a matte varnish to protect the surface while preserving a natural, tactile quality.
I try to capture movement, posture, and character. I am always looking for unusual poses. They make the creation process more challenging, but more rewarding at the same time.
These figurines are created not just for collectors who value individuality, craftsmanship, and the quiet connection between art and the natural world, but anyone who loves nature and animals.
