Welcome to Sible (“the Website”). By accessing or using this Website, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use the Website.

1. Definitions

  • “We”, “Us”, “Sible” refer to the website owners/operators.
  • “Vendor” refers to individuals or businesses selling products through Sible.
  • “Customer” refers to individuals purchasing products through Sible.

2. Vendor Eligibility

To sell on Sible, vendors must:

  • Provide accurate contact and business information.
  • Ensure all products/services listed comply with Canadian laws and these Terms.
  • Ensure all listings are up to date.
  • Agree to remove or update listings if requested by Sible.

3. Prohibited Products/Services

Vendors are strictly prohibited from selling the following:

    1. AI-generated products, including but not limited to:

  • AI-generated artwork
  • AI-generated text or written works
  • AI-generated photos
  • AI-generated digital products

    2. Illegal, restricted, or unsafe goods under Canadian federal and BC provincial law

    3. Weapons, hazardous materials, or recalled products

    4. Counterfeit or IP-infringing products

    5. Products that are not made by the Vendor, or services not provided by the Vendor

    6. Any product or service promoting harm or abuse towards a certain group

    7. Drop-shipped products

Sible reserves the right to remove prohibited listings without notice.

4. Shipping & Delivery

Sible currently supports local shipping only within the Saanich Peninsula (BC, Canada). Orders placed requesting local shipping with an address outside this region will be cancelled and refunded. All orders outside of the Saanich Peninsula will be using Canada Post.

Vendors are responsible for:

  • Preparing the products for pickup (if shipping is local delivery)
  • Shipping products (if shipping is through Canada Post)
  • Ensuring products are in good condition

5. Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Customers agree to Stripe’s terms of service when making a purchase. Vendors receive payouts after orders are completed and verified.

6. Vendor Responsibilities

Vendors must ensure:

  • Product/service descriptions are accurate
  • Product/services are up to date
  • Products comply with Canadian consumer protection and safety laws
  • For services, Vendors must attempt to connect with paying customers (after a connection email has been received)

7. Customer Responsibilities

Customers agree to:

  • Provide accurate shipping information
  • Inspect items upon delivery
  • For services, Customers must attempt to connect with the provider of the service they have purchased (after a connection email has been received)
  • Contact Sible or the Vendor promptly if an issue arises

8. Limitation of Liability

Sible acts as a marketplace and is not the seller of goods.
We are not responsible for:

  • Product quality
  • Misrepresentation by vendors
  • Refunds and returns
  • Sible is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform, including lost profits, data, or any disputes between Vendors and Customers.

9. Privacy

For Customers:

In order to ship products, Vendors may receive your name, shipping address, postal code, or any other information provided during the checkout process. They will not receive payment information, which is processed by Stripe. No information you provide will ever be sold to third parties, and it will not be used for marketing purposes. The only information Sible will collect is information directly related to the functionality of the website, i.e. email address, shipping address, cart information, and whether you are logged in or not. 

For Vendors:

Sible will retain information you provide during the account creation process, along with information pertaining to listings you create, such as images, product weight, and product price. Information pertaining to listings will be deleted (along with the listing) upon request. 

10. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate vendor or customer accounts for:

  • Violating these Terms
  • Fraudulent or harmful behavior
  • Listing prohibited products

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Website indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
